The Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River will hold its annual fish fry fundraising event from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2 outdoors at Fort Valley Nursery in Woodstock.
The event will include an upscale dinner, local wines and brews and silent and live auctions. Over 40 pieces of fine art, travel packages, outdoor gear, day trips, classes and more are up for bid. This year, there will be an end-of-auction rally to boost funds to support the organization’s impact through its growing education and community-based programs, Shenandoah “River Players” and “River Rangers” summer camps, its mentored conservation and skill-building program for teens (the North Fork Conservation Corps), the Riparian Buffer Support team, and the volunteer-based Benthic Macroinvertebrate (water quality) studies with Virginia Save our Streams.
Tickets are $65 each or $100 for two. Personal and business sponsorships start at $250 and include tickets to the event as well as additional gifts. Tickets or to place online bids are available at https://tinyurl.com/2sxvttuz. Information: 540-459-8550 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
