Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation has scheduled the following classes:

• Card making: deadline to register is Dec. 4, class on Dec. 15 at the County Government Center, 1:30-3:30 p.m. for ages 55 and older, $25; 6:30-8:30 p.m. for ages 14 and older, $27.

• Chunky blanket class: deadline to register is Dec. 10, three classes at the County Government Center on Dec. 14, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for ages 55 and older, $35; 6-9 p.m. for ages 16 and older, $39. Yarn must be purchased in advance.

• Practical beekeeping for beginners: registration deadline is Jan. 15. Eight one-hour weekly sessions via Zoom including field sessions for hands-on learning. Class fee is $95 per family and includes a number of resources for successful beekeeping. Questions: Scott Currie at 540-325-5202.
