The Shenandoah Community Foundation is accepting tax-deductible donations to support grants to charitable organizations serving Shenandoah County community members to enable them to meet crisis needs of those affected by the pandemic. This may include assistance for food, housing, health care, transportation, day care, utilities or other life-sustaining expenses.
Charitable organizations include those that are IRS tax exempt and governmental entities. The Fund does not support requests for individual assistance. If you are an individual in need, call 211 for referrals to organizations that can assist or call the Shenandoah County Department of Social Services at
540-459-6226. If you are experiencing homelessness, contact the Alliance for Shelter at 540-459-3212.
In order to move resources quickly and minimize the burden on organizations, the foundation is not following a formal application process. Please submit your organization’s needs using the application form found on the website.
