HEDGESVILLE — Benefiting the American Cancer Society, the first annual Chip in Against Pediatric Cancer golf tournament wraps up the season as the final qualifying event for The Woods’ Tournament of Champions.

The tournament will be held on September 23 with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Golf will start at noon.

There are several levels available for both golfers and sponsors. For golfers, a single person costs $85, and that includes golf, lunch and dinner. Four golfers can register for $375, which will include golf, lunch, dinner, a mulligan and a raffle ticket.

A $100 In Honor sign is available as well as a $150 hole sponsorship opportunity. A Brave Sponsorship will cost $275 and include golf for two, lunch, dinner, tee sign and two raffle tickets, while a Strong Sponsorship is $550 and will include golf for four, lunch, dinner, tee sign, name on Relay for Life website, one mulligan and four raffle tickets. The Dinner Sponsorship level is $600 and will include name on golf cart, tee sign and name on Relay for Life website. The highest level is the Fighter Sponsorship, which costs $1,200 and includes golf for eight, lunch, dinner, tee sign, logo on Relay for Life site, eight raffle tickets and two mulligans.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit the American Cancer Society, specifically pediatric cancer. The American Cancer Society invests more than $34 million in research to childhood cancer and supports families of children fighting cancer by providing information, support services and advocacy.

The winning team will qualify for the The Woods’ third annual Tournament of Champions, which sends the winning teams from several tournaments throughout the season back to the course for a chance to earn additional funds for the organization they represent. The Tournament of Champions will be held on Oct. 4.
