Commercial St. in Winchester, to host a “Bar Fly” event at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 to offer anglers the opportunity to learn more about the organization and to tie some fishing flies. No experience necessary. Join us for the best Winter Reading Club ever! Beginning Jan. 3, experience the magic of reading with our Beauty and the Beast and Other Enchanted Tales theme. As well as receiving prizes for books read throughout this eight-week program, children and teens will have craft programs, movies, puppet shows, magic shows, and a tea party to attend. The Winter Reading Club will culminate in a celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, to be held on March 3.
Upon registration, children will receive a book bag, bookmark, and reading log for use during the program. Free books and winter-themed prizes will be awarded weekly to readers who read one book within a week, and to pre-readers who listen to five books within a week.
