If you’re a lover of beer and music, the Brews & Blues festival will have something for you.

Taking place on Saturday in Front Royal, the festival promises more than 50 beers from breweries from around Virginia. Front Royal-Warren County Chamber of Commerce president Niki Foster Cales said that Virginia Eagle would provide beer for the festival, along with several local area breweries.

“We’re going to have lots of beer,” Cales said. “There will be beers people may or may not have had before. We hope to have something for everybody.”

One of the newest additions to the festival this year will be the Local Loop, which will take place at the Bushel Pub in the Apple House in Linden. Cales said that the Local Loop would showcase local breweries from Shenandoah and Warren counties.

Brews & Blues will also provide live entertainment from noon to 2:30 p.m. with the Duskwhales. The Shane Gamble Band will take the stage from 3-6 p.m.

Other activities will include corn hole and yard games. There will also be food available from vendors and trucks.

Cales said that the festival usually sees between 3,000 and 4,000 people each year.

“We’re expecting the weather to be nice, so we hope people come out to enjoy the good food, the great entertainment, and the cold beer,” Cales said.

Festival gates will open at noon in the Village Commons in downtown Front Royal.
