Chili Fest

The Woodstock Chili Fest scheduled for Saturday at Court Square has been canceled due to impending inclement weather.

Brain Buzz

Spectators are welcome at Brain Buzz, a fundraiser for Literacy Volunteers that takes place tonight at the Bright Box Theater, 15 N. Loudoun St. in Winchester.

Teams of three to four members will compete in original, amusing team-based contest of brain games, trivia and cultural literacy. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with games beginning at 6:30 p.m. See


Piccadilly House

The following performers will be at the Piccadilly Public House & Restaurant this weekend at 125 E. Piccadilly St., Winchester:

Cowboy Ball

The Save-A-Horse Program will present its Cowboy Ball & BBQ Buffet on Saturday at the Hampton Inn, 1204 Berryville Ave. $35 per person.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Chicken and pork barbecue buffet at 6:30 p.m. Dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. Cash bar, raffles, Bid on a Cowboy and more.

Barns of Rose Hill

Barns of Rose Hill will host the following performers this weekend at 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville:

  • Today: 7 p.m., Bluegrass & Barbecue Series featuring Budd’s Collective and Sally Veach Exhibit opening, $15 in advance, $20 at door, free for ages 12 and younger.
  • Saturday: 8 p.m., pianist Petronel Malan, $20 in advance, $25 at door, free for ages 12 and younger.

Theatre Shenandoah

Theatre Shenandoah will present “The Wizard of Oz” at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at 107 Center St., Edinburg.

Rouss Center for the Arts in New Market will present the comedy “The Love List” by Norm Foster at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

TableScapes, a fundraiser for Faith in Action, will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Millwood Event Center, 252 Costello Drive in Winchester. The Capitol Steps

The Capitol Steps, a highly acclaimed Washington D.C.-based comedy troupe, will bring its blend of musical and political comedy to The Patsy Cline Theatre at 3:18 p.m. Sunday.

The Handley Class of 2018 is sponsoring the show.

Sky Meadows

Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane will hold the following activities from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday:

  • The Farmer’s Forge: watch blacksmiths fashion iron into helpful tools and kitchen items used on the farm.
  • The Settle’s Kettle: discover how foods differed between the Settles and their enslaved, sample authentic dishes and take the historic recipe home.
  • The Kitchen Garden: visit with volunteer gardeners as they tend garden beds and learn about heirloom vegetables used in hearth cooking demonstrations.
