Gospel concert Sunday at Restoration Fellowship Church
STRASBURG – Restoration Fellowship Church is hosting a “Sunday Morning Gospel Quartet in the Valley” featuring Triumphant Quartet and PromisedLand Quartet. Service starts at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Gene Hamman, the lead singer for PromisedLand Quartet, said the idea was to have a good old Sunday morning worship service that brings the two musical groups together for a unique event.
“Two quartets, all male with two different styles, traditional and progressive,” Hamman said. “Mix them together, and you’re bound to have an amazing Sunday morning worship.”
PromisedLand Quartet draws its inspiration from southern gospel music and has been entertaining fans with their array of musical talents for over 18 years. Based out of Edinburg, PromisedLand is made up of four singers, Joe Brinkley, Nathan Potts, Gene Hamman and Joey Wilson, who have been identified as having “a big traditional sound” that encompasses their joy for faith and music.
Triumphant Quartet, with its smooth harmonies and rich sound, has gained national attention, recognition and concert demand. Audience members will find themselves laughing, smiling, crying and encouraged while the gospel message is presented to them through song.
Hamman added that he and his fellow group members are honored and excited to be performing alongside Triumphant Quartet.
“It’s such a blessing to be able to offer this to the community,” he said.
Sunday’s event is sponsored by Restoration Fellowship Church. Admission is free. A free-will offering will be accepted
