FRONT ROYAL – Claire, a 1-year-old pitbull-terrier mix, is up for adoption.
Carissa Rutledge, a canine attendant at the Warren County Humane Society, said that Claire is a playful and lovable dog.
“[Claire] really loves people,” she said. “She loves her toys and to play. She’s just a loving, energetic dog.”
Claire came to the shelter as a stray on Oct. 30. Rutledge said Claire is good around all adults. She also said that the dog is good around other animals, including dogs and cats, and kids who are ages 6 and older.
“Claire will bark at other dogs, but she’s not being aggressive when she does,” Rutledge said.
Rutledge said that Claire is up to date on her shots and doesn’t have any other health problems. Rutledge recommended that potential owners get Claire’s nails clipped regularly and to get her leashed trained. She also said that Claire is not food aggressive and she’s very “treat-motivated.”
The adoption fee for Claire is $30. For more information on Claire, call the Warren County Humane Society at 540-635-4734.
