WINCHESTER — Beetlejuice, a 2-year-old black cat, came to the Winchester SPCA in May as a stray cat.
One month later, he was on the operating table to get neutered when his heart stopped. Now, he is partially blind and walks with a little bit of a wobble, said Billie Guidry, an adoption agent with the Winchester SPCA.
“He woke up with some pretty severe neurological problems,” Guidry said.
Following that heart attack, Guidry said Beetlejuice was revived.
“Everybody paid attention to him and nursed him,” Guidry said.
Guidry said that Beetlejuice did not need any more ongoing treatment but said that he should go to a calmer household without any small children.
“He’s really sweet,” Guidry said. “A little timid, affectionate, litter-box trained. There’s no issues of any problems with that.”
Beetlejuice’s adoption fee is $75. He has been neutered and microchipped, and he is up-to-date on his vaccines.
Those interested in adopting Beetlejuice should contact the Winchester SPCA at 540-662-8616 or visit its website at https://winchesterspca.org.
