The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman late Saturday night on charges of petit larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and providing false identification to law enforcement.

The woman, Ashley Wolford, also had outstanding warrants on grand larceny charges in both Shenandoah County and Warren County.

Capt. Joshua Seal of the Sheriff’s Office said that officers got a call about a shoplifting at Wal-Mart. But when deputies arrived, Wolford had left.

The deputies later performed a traffic stop on Wolford, Seal said.

“It ended up she had stolen a phone charger,” Seal said. “And apparently, they had also found some drug paraphernalia.”

Wolford also had outstanding warrants out of Shenandoah County and Warren County for grand larceny.

In Shenandoah County, A.L. Bowers, of the Woodstock Police Department, filed a criminal complaint alleging that Wolford had stolen merchandise out of a Walmart in Woodstock.
