The Triplett Tech auto program will hold its second auto auction on Saturday at the school in Mount Jackson.
“They are being sold to benefit the auto tech program and the auto collision program,” said auto tech instructor Lucas Long. “There will be some excellent deals. The money will be used to repair something or buy materials.”
There will be 15 vehicles up for auction, including a Mercedez Benz, a Saub 95 Turbo, and an F150.
Alex Cardoso, 17, of New Market, helped work on some of the vehicles, including the four-wheel drive Dodge Durango. He replaced the alternator and the battery on that vehicle and said it should have no trouble starting this winter.
The event starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Triplett Tech at 6375 Main St., Mount Jackson.
Long said the vehicles, which were donated with clear titles, are being sold “as is,” in varying condition. Most, he said, are road ready.
The vehicles will need to be removed from the premises within 15 days of auction. Cash and check will be accepted, and total payment is due at the time of purchase.
