Belle Grove Plantation announced the start of the 2019 Hite of Excellence Extraordinary Series of Sumptuous Feasts dinner series on Tuesday.
The series, which is in its 22nd year, highlights 13 private events that will be held at Belle Grove, including an exclusive dinner party to celebrate the anniversary of James and Dolley Madison’s visit to Belle Grove in 1794 to a casual Bluegrass Barn Party in the soon-to-be completed Beverley B. Shoemaker Welcome Center.
The series will kick off Saturday night with a cocktail party starting at 6 p.m. The party will feature valet parking, hors-d’oeuvres, an open bar and a silent auction. The event will be the first time guests will have a chance to purchase tickets to dinners and events that are held at the plantation.
“The Kick-Off Party is a fun evening out to plan a whole year of fun evenings out,” said Kristen Laise, executive director of Belle Grove Plantation. “This series of events is a great way to make new friends and enjoy Belle Grove behind-the-scenes.”
All ticket proceeds will go directly toward funding Belle Grove’s education, research, and historic preservation projects. Admission for the kick-off party will be $25 per person and $40 per couple. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bellegrove.org or by calling 540-869-2028. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the night of the event.
Tickets for Hite of Excellence events that aren’t sold at this weekend’s dinner will go on sale on Monday at www.bellegrove.org.
