GoogleThe Front Royal Warren County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Committee will host a Google video event titled “Spruce Up Your Holiday Marketing Plan” at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Explore Art & Clay, 100 E. 8th St., Front Royal.

Topics include Google My Business listings, online advertising and email marketing. Prior to the workshop, small businesses can visit to create an action plan for themselves.

Civil War authorAuthor Jeff Hunt will talk about and sign copies of his books at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Rifles Confederate Museum, 95 Chester St., Front Royal.

Hunt is the author of “Meade and Lee at Bristoe Station: The Problems of Command and Strategy After Gettysburg, from Brandy Station to the Buckland Races, August 1 to October 31, 1863” and “The Last Battle of the Civil War: Palmetto Ranch.”

Hunt is director of the Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry in Austin and an adjunct professor of history at Austin Community College. Information: email

Alamo DrafthouseAlamo Drafthouse Cinema will hold special events this month celebrating its 10th anniversary.
