COVID-19 cases was down on Sunday in the Lord Fairfax Health District. However, Clarke County reported another death according to the Virginia Department of Health website.

Clarke County now has 19 deaths. The district reported 77 new cases over the weekend, but only 28 of those were on Sunday.

Frederick County reported 27 new cases over the weekend, Shenandoah County had nine, Winchester had 14, Warren County reported 15, Page County had nine and Clarke County had three.

There were three new hospitalizations reported over the weekend in the district. Winchester reported two, one Saturday and one Sunday. Warren County reported an additional hospitalization on Saturday.

The Lord Fairfax Health District had a seven-day positivity rate of 7.1%, while the state overall is at 6.4%.

Across the state, there were 1,542 new cases reported on Saturday with 60 new hospitalizations and eight new deaths. On Sunday, the state reported 1,267 new cases, 37 new hospitalizations and 42 new deaths.

On Sunday, the Virginia Department of Health reported 2,769,690 people (32.4% of the population) with at least one vaccine dose and 1,519,021 people (17.8% of the population) fully vaccinated.

Winchester has 12,381 (up 148 over the weekend) doses administered and 4,977 (up 64) fully vaccinated.

Frederick County has 36,381 (up 553) doses and 15,286 (up 288) fully vaccinated.

Clarke County has 7,256 (up 132) doses and 3,122 (up 59) fully vaccinated.

Shenandoah County has 20,661 (up 587) doses and 8,824 (up 335) fully vaccinated.

Page County has 9,880 (up 530) doses and 4,175 (up 70) fully vaccinated.

Warren County has 14,144 (up 999) doses and 5,858 (up 153) fully vaccinated.

Shenandoah County Public Schools is reporting only two cases on the division's website COVID-19 dashboard. The division is reporting one student case at North Fork Middle School and one staff case at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Warren County Public Schools is reporting 12 student cases and five staff cases on the division's website COVID-19 dashboard. There are four student cases at Skyline High School, two at Warren County High School, two at Warren County Middle School, two at Ressie Jeffries Elementary School and one each at A.S. Rhodes Elementary School and Hilda J. Barbour Elementary School. There are three staff cases at Skyline High School and one each at Warren County High School and in the Central Administrative Office. There are also 98 students and five staff members in quarantine.
