Bowman Library in Stephens City will celebrate the end of its summer reading program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Entertainment will be provided by the Teen Puppet Troupe and the Tri-State Division of the Eastern Panhandle Ghostbusters, who will display their ghost-busting vehicles and equipment and a giant marshmallow man and slime monster. There will be a reading of “I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More” and Reading to Bunnies.
• The Hamilton-Hambleton family reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Stoney Creek Church picnic shelter in Basye. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Plates/utensils provided. Held rain or shine.
• The Bemis reunion will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Rotary shelter in W.O. Riley Park, Woodstock. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and drinks. Paper products provided.
Andrew Parker Taff, of Maurertown, graduated Aug. 3 from Park University’s Fort Myer campus with a degree in criminal justice administration/law enforcement. He is a graduate of Strasburg High School.
