Workshop Handley Library will host a job seeker workshop led by NW Works at 5 p.m. Thursday with representatives from NW Works covering topics on how to conduct an online job search, applying for a job and resume basics.

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period and staff will be available to provide hands-on help until 7:45 p.m. with access to library services and materials that help in job search efforts.

Bowman Library in Stephens City will host an Ugly Festive Party at 5:30 p.m. Friday for middle- and high-school youth. Kids will be able to rotate throughout the console, tabletop and computer games. Those attending are asked to bring a gift to share, $5 or less, and dress in their holiday worst or best.
