Strasburg Chamber of Commerce Women In Business, a mid-day marketing luncheon, will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Historical Homemaker Bakery and Cafe next to the Emporium in Strasburg.

The guest speaker will be Thomas “Rocky” Mistretta, owner of TNR Consulting Group, who will discuss handgun and self-defense fundamentals for women. Chamber membership is not required. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-chamber members.

Breakfast/egg hunt

Mt. Jackson Rescue and Fire will host a public breakfast and egg hunt on Saturday at the new squad building.

A free-will offering breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. An egg hunt with the Easter Bunny for children up to 8 years old will start at 10 a.m. Children should bring a basket.

Bake sale

The Strasburg Fire Department Auxiliary will hold an Easter bake sale starting at 8 a.m. Saturday in front of the fire department.

Craft show

Quilters

The Shenandoah Valley Quilters Guild will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg.

There will be show and tell, raffle and round-robin demonstration. No registration or fee.

Mary Judge will present a program on acrylic fabric paints, Sandie Hammel will demonstrate using printing blocks with a gel pad and ink, and John Hammel will show how to enhance quilts with Derwent Inktense Pencil techniques.
