Monday is the deadline to register for Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation’s two safe exercise classes for those 55 and over. Participants will learn the Meeks Method of safe exercise for those with osteopenia/osteoporosis, and they will receive a manual with all exercises and information on management and prevention of osteoporosis.
Classes, which will be held on Thursdays starting March 21 for six weeks, will be offered from noon to 1:15 p.m. at Valley Health Rehab & Quick Care in Strasburg and 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Valley Health Wellness & Fitness in Woodstock.

Monday is the deadline to register for the Shenandoah Naturalists and the Shenandoah Audubon Society’s bird study merit badge workshop for youth 9 and older (Scouts preferred) from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 15 and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 16 at Market Street United Methodist Church in Winchester.
The workshop is free. Scouts should obtain and study the Bird Study Merit Badge book before the workshop.
