Belle Grove

Matthew Greer, the archaeologist investigating the Belle Grove Plantation enslaved quarter site, will present a virtual program “Putting Together the Pieces: How Small Ceramic Fragments Reveal Much about the Life of the Enslaved” from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Samuel’s Library in Front Royal will host the following virtual programs for adults:

• Front Royal Writers Group: 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

• Bad Romance: 6 p.m. Friday, discussing favorite romance books, movies, music, etc. Led by Sydney Woods,  who will give free access to her Valentine’s novella “The Candyman Can.” Register online.

• Books and Beyond Discussion: 10 a.m. Feb. 17. This month’s book is “The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett. Register online.

Scholarship

Edinburg VFW Post 2447 is accepting applications for its 2021 scholarships for high school seniors in Shenandoah County.
