The Strasburg Community Library is kicking off its summer reading program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Postponed

The Town of New Market has decided to postpone its Independence Day celebration to Sept. 12, the same weekend as Patriot’s Day. Festivities will include bouncy houses, train rides, food vendors, music and fireworks show. 4-H pool

The Northern Virginia 4-H Center in Front Royal has launched new and expanded public swim times and aquatic programs beginning Wednesday, including swim lessons, water aerobics, Senior Swim and pool parties.

Public swim times will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Swim lessons are available for all ages and abilities. Youth and adult water aerobics classes are offered twice each week. Dedicated swim time for senior citizens is offered twice each week. The pool may also be reserved for pool parties.
