Bible school

Front Royal Church of the Brethren will hold vacation Bible school from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today through Wednesday for children in kindergarten through age 12. The theme is “Peace Camp-Learning to be Peace Makers.”

Garden club

Friday is the deadline to register to participate in the Virginia Museum of the Civil War’s day camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 8-12 for ages 8-12 in New Market.

Children will learn to drill, eat period food, play games and more. The cost is $20 per day per recruit or $80 for all five days.

Kisyl Housden, a sophomore at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, was inducted into Mu Alpha Theta, the school’s chapter of the National Math Honor Society, April 22. She is the daughter of Bobby and Kisyl Housden, of Front Royal.
