The Edinburg Lions Club will have a booth set up from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Exxon station on North Main Street in Edinburg.
Members will be conducting blindness awareness activities, accepting donations to fund local outreach, collecting used eyeglasses to be recycled for global distribution and selling Lions Club corn brooms. The club recently helped conduct vision and hearing screening in Shenandoah County Public Schools, testing more than 1,500 children.
The Strasburg United Methodist Men will hold a community yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the church parking lot at 114 W. Washington St. Sandwiches and drinks will be sold.
Riverton United Methodist Church will host a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday. A free-will offering will be accepted. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, juice and coffee. Breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall at the back of the church at 55 E. Strasburg Road, Front Royal.
A rabies vaccination clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg.
Pet owners should bring current vaccination records to receive a three-year vaccine. Shenandoah County Treasurer’s Office staff will be on hand selling 2022 county dog licenses. Cats must in a carrier and dogs must be on a leash. The cost is $15 for each animal.
The Humane Society of Warren County will hold its annual Tails and Ales fundraising event starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Front Royal Moose Lodge.
Tickets are $40, which includes dinner, beer and wine, an event souvenir and a chance at the $1,000 grand prize. There will also be a silent auction, pull tabs, 50/50 raffle, door prizes and two new games this year to celebrate the Society’s 10th anniversary.
