Fish fry

The Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River will host a fish fry from 5:30-9 p.m. Saturday at the Woodstock Moose Lodge.

A silent auction will run throughout the evening. After dinner, guests can bid on vacations, sporting goods, artwork and more. Tickets, which are $55, can be reserved by calling 540-459-8550 or they will be sold at the door.

Bingo

The Warren County chapter of the Izaak Walton League will host basket bingo Saturday at the Elks Lodge on Guard Hill Road, Front Royal.

Doors open at 4 p.m. and games start at 5 p.m. Over $10,000 in door prizes and raffles. Pulled pork dinner with dessert and drink sold for $8. Tickets, which include 28 games, are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Proceeds benefit scholarships for Warren County graduates. Groups of six or more will have reserved seating. Book sale

Bowman Library in Stephens City will hold its fall book sale Tuesday through Oct. 12 featuring gently used books, DVDs, sheet music and more. Prices are between 50 cents and $2. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 and 12. Information: 540-869-9000.
