LibraryThe Handley Regional Library System has announced the return of its Tech Tuesday series, free in-person workshops concentrating on a particular technology topic at Handley Library in Winchester and Bowman Library in Stephens City. Sessions will be offered on the following schedule:
• Bowman Library: 10:30 a.m., today on iOS devices for iPhones and iPads covering the current version and basic functions; 10:30 a.m., Sept. 28 on Android devices; 10:30 a.m., Oct. 5 on technology and security issues.
• Handley Library: 10:30 a.m., Oct. 12 on how to manage email accounts; 10:30 a.m., Oct. 19 on iOS devices tricks and tips; 10:30 a.m., Oct. 26 on Android devices.

MovieSt. Luke Brethren Church will show the movie “Paul” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 3250 Back Road, Woodstock.
Democrats The Shenandoah County Democrats will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Woodstock Brewhouse on Court Street in Woodstock.
Woodstock Mayor Jeremy McCleary and Town Manager Aaron Grisdale will present a program on upcoming developments on hiking/biking trails in the area.
Judge Parker programHandley Library will host a program led by Trish Ridgeway on Judge Richard Parker at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Parker served as the judge in the trial of John Brown and his men after the raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859.
Ridgeway and her husband, Harry, opened the Old Court House Civil War Museum in 2003 in Winchester. She also served as director of the library system from 1993 to 2013.
