A crash involving three tractor-trailers closed down Interstate 81 in Shenandoah County on Tuesday afternoon.
Virginia State Police responded to the crash in the southbound lanes at 266 mile-marker at 12:33 p.m, according to State Police Spokesperson Brent Coffey.
No injuries were reported, Coffey said. The highway was shut down due to a battery accident leak and subsequent clean-up.
The left lane was reopened as of 2:35 p.m., Coffey stated.
The Virginia Department of Transportation was on scene assisting Virginia State Police, Coffey stated.
The crash was under investigation, Coffey stated.
