The Front Royal-Warren County Economic Development Authority continues considering potential buyers or tenants for one of its properties.
The Board of Directors entered an about two-hour-long closed session during a special Monday Zoom meeting to discuss the possible disposition of the EDA's properties at 426 Baugh Drive and a site across the street. No action was taken.
The EDA continues seeking buyers or tenants for its properties as it works toward regaining its financial security. The county has taken over the EDA’s finances — covering its operational budget and authority loans to borrowers. The county also created a department of economic development to work with the EDA. The executive director and an administrative assistant would work as county employees.
Chairman Jeff Browne and members Greg Harold, Scott Jenkins, Marjorie “Jorie” Martin, Dr. Thomas Patteson and Jim Wolfe attended the meeting. Supervisors Walter Mabe and Delores Oates, County Administrator Edwin Daley, Deputy County Administrator/Interim EDA Director Taryn Logan, and EDA attorney Sharon Pandak also attended.
