The Edinburg Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Hall.

Dan Harshman, Edinburg mayor and town manager, said the meeting will not be available online as some other towns are doing. He said they do not have the technology to post the meeting online

However, Harshman said that there will only be eight people, spaced out more than 6 feet from each other, at the meeting and that the public can attend the meeting. He said a sign will be placed on the town office door that only two people are allowed to attend the meeting at a time so that there are no more than 10 people gathered in the room.

Some of the topics on the agenda include an amendment of the 2019-2020 budget and discussion of a proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30, 2021. A date for a public hearing to receive comments on amending the 2012-2020 budget and the proposed budget for next year will be scheduled.

Harshman said they are encouraging residents to e-mail comments about the budgets. The Town Council also will be considering a resolution to waive the penalty and interest on personal property tax, which is due June 5.

The council also will be discussing the opening of the town pool.
