Ladies and gentlemen, grab your wallets and start your engines. The Yard Crawl has (officially) begun.
Those of you who have ventured out to work or play already know this if you’ve had to crawl up or down Route 11 in Shenandoah and Frederick counties today. The annual bargain hunter’s treasure hunt draws locals as well as folks from miles away.
This year the crawl is an official two-day event instead of just Saturday – though we all know the crawl unofficially starts a day ahead of time – this year on Thursday.
The crawl is also underway on a business day as well as a school day today, so those of you who plan to zig-zag your way along Route 11 should be on alert for children walking to bus stops as well as stopped school buses.
Go slow and enjoy two full days of bargains.
