Firefighters drag hose lines outside this unoccupied home along Old Valley Pike near Fisher’s Hill on Tuesday. Shenandoah Deputy Fire Chief Bill Streett Jr. said a fire there caused about $15,000 in damage and it appears to have started in the basement before spreading to the upper floors. The home was undergoing renovations and no one was in the building, he said. Fire Marshal Dave Ferguson said the cause has not been determined. “All points lead to an accidental fire but further investigation is needed to confirm it,” he said.
