The Fort Valley Ruritan Club recently awarded Deborah Orndorff with its 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award. For almost four decades she has given her time and talents to the community as an active member of White Chapel United Methodist Church as treasurer and trustee and as a member of the Fort Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Over the years, she has assisted with the Ruritan Club’s Empty Stocking project, purchasing and wrapping Christmas gifts and managing the kitchen at the club’s booth at the Shenandoah County Fair. Pictured are Ruritan Club President Charlie Aschmann, Orndorff and Sandra Burner-Cave, chairperson of the Citizenship and Patriotism Committee.
