A Front Royal man has been arrested on felony embezzlement and felony possession charges.

Barrington Allen Moore, 31, of Front Royal, was arrested by Front Royal police on Oct. 9, the department states in a news release.

The alleged embezzlement occurred at Kentucky Fried Chicken, located at 807 John Marshall Highway, the release states. An investigation determined that more than $1,000 was stolen from the business between August and September.

While arresting Moore, detectives conducted a search of his person and located two bags of white powder reported by Moore to be “Molly,” a Schedule 1 narcotic, the release states.

Moore was transported to Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail where as of Thursday he was being held on a $1,500 bond.

A court date is set for 10 a.m. Nov. 10 in Warren County General District Court.
