A Front Royal man faces four years in prison following sentencing Friday in Warren County Circuit Court on pornography-related charges.

Robert Heishman, 28, of 612 W. 11th St. Apt. C, pleaded no contest to the filming or photography of child pornography while being at least seven years older than a victim under the age of 15.

A second charge of filming a nude minor without consent was nolle prosequi, which means the prosecutor agrees not to pursue the charge at that time but could bring it back in the future.

In exchange for the plea, Heishman was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with six years suspended and five years of supervised probation. The maximum penalty he could have received was 35 years.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, a woman spoke with police about inappropriate pictures of her young daughter that the woman had discovered in a hidden file on his phone.

One picture was of the child with her underwear pulled down. In another, the child, who appeared to be sleeping, had her nightgown pulled down, exposing her chest, the woman said.

The woman said she believed Heishman took the pictures while she was working and he was in care and custody of the child, according to the criminal complaint.

School officials previously said Heishman was an employee of a contractor that provides custodial services for the schools. Heishman was not employed by Warren County Public Schools, officials said.

According to officials, the school system had taken steps to keep Heishman off of school property until his charges are resolved.

As part of the plea agreement, Heishman must comply with the Sex Offender Registry, have no contact with minor children and have no access to the internet without approval from probation among several other conditions.
