Every year manufacturers unveil their latest new products for hunters and shooters at the January S.H.O.T. (Shooting, Hunting, & Outdoor Trade) show in Las Vegas. Here’s a look at some of the most interesting new products for the coming seasons this fall.
Nosler M48 Long Range Carbon Rifle. Nosler’s newest M48 rifle is the perfect match for the long-range capability of the new calibers the company has developed—the .26, .28, .30, and .33 Nosler. The barrel is a Proof Research 26-inch Light Sendero-contour carbon fiber-wrapped match grade with threaded muzzle. The Manners MCS-T carbon fiber Elite stock is aluminum pillar and glass-bedded, with a high Monte Carlo cheekpiece for easy use of large objective scopes. The rifle also has palm swells on the grip and fore-end with textured surfaces, a Timney trigger, and Cerakote finish. Weight is a light 7 pounds thanks to the carbon materials used. Nosler.com
Savage 110 AccuFit Rifles. Most rifles are built to fit the average hunter and may require a trip to the gunsmith if you’re not “average.” Savage will save you that trip with their new AccuFit rifle stock system, which uses interchangeable components that allow hunters to custom-fit both length-of-pull and comb height with just a Phillips-head screwdriver.
Five comb risers allow you to set the perfect comb height for your body size and shooting form in 1/8-inch increments. Four ¼-inch stock inserts also allow precise adjustment of length of pull from 13 to 14 inches. This latter feature is one you may want to adjust from day to day depending on how much clothing is worn on warm versus cold weather hunts. The AccuFit stock is available in ten newly-designed Model 110 Big Game and Specialty Series rifles, all featuring the adjustable AccuTrigger. Savage.com
Remington HTP Copper Cartridges. Using a sleek profile Barnes TSX bullet, the new Remington High Terminal Performance HTP Copper delivers excellent penetration and close to 100 percent weight retention. The hollow point cavity ensures reliable and consistent expansion while Accu-Groove indentions along the flanks and a Precision Heel Radius at the base decrease fouling and improve accuracy in the all-copper bullet. It’s available in 11 calibers ranging from the .223 up to .300 Win. Mag. Remington.com

The 75 mm objective lens is multi-coated for sharp edge-to-edge clarity and high light transmission.
