Girls Basketball All-Area Team

First team

Jaden Alsberry, Strasburg

The senior forward was a first team All-Bull Run District and a second team All-Region 2B selection. Alsberry averaged 10.3 points, an-area best 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

Kylene Franklin, Stonewall Jackson

The junior guard was a first team All-Bull Run District and first team All-Region 2B selection. Franklin averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 steals per contest this season.

Brianna Hogan, Warren County

The senior forward/guard was a first team All-Class 3 Northwestern District and first team All-Region 3B selection. Hogan averaged 16.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this year.

Maria Marston, Central

The senior forward/guard averaged an area-best 18.6 points a game, along with 8.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 3.1 steals per contest. Marston was a first team All-Class 3 Northwestern District and a first team All-Region 3B pick.

Christyan Reid, Strasburg

The senior center averaged 17.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and shot an area-best 56.8 percent (179-for-315) from the field. Reid was a first team All-Bull Run District and first team All-Region 2B pick.

Coach: Darin Jenkins

Jenkins led the Rams to a 26-4 record and to the Class 2 state semifinals. The Rams started the season off 19-0 and went 37-5 over their last 42 games over the last two seasons and a half.
