The Lord Fairfax Health District reported four deaths from COVID-19 over the weekend.
One death was reported in both Frederick and Shenandoah counties on Sunday. One death was reported in both Shenandoah County and Winchester on Saturday.
The district includes Winchester and the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah and Warren. The district’s weekend reporting brings its total number of COVID-19 deaths to 374.
In terms of cases, the district reported an additional 28 cases on Sunday, with nine in Shenandoah County, six in Frederick County, four in both Warren County and Winchester and one in Page County.
Thirty new cases were reported in the district on Saturday, with 14 in Frederick, six in both Shenandoah and Warren counties, two in Winchester and one in both Page and Clarke counties.
The two days bring the total number of cases reported in the district to 18,304.
The district reported two hospitalizations on Sunday, one in Warren County and one in Winchester. Shenandoah County had all five of the district’s hospitalizations on Saturday. Those bring the total number of hospitalizations reported by the district to 695.
The state as a whole added 1,163 cases on Sunday and 1,477 on Saturday. Twenty-four hospitalizations on Sunday and 123 hospitalizations on Saturday were added across the state. Deaths increased throughout Virginia by 77 on Sunday and 91 on Saturday.
The seven-day positivity rate for PCR tests only was reported as 5.7 percent in the district and 6.2 percent across the state on Sunday.
Vaccinations have continued with the district reporting 70,517 doses administered as of Sunday, up 3,073 from Wednesday. The number of people fully vaccinated was 29,069, up 1,215 from Wednesday.
Shenandoah County has administered 14,251 doses (up 896 from Wednesday), with 5,571 people fully vaccinated (up 256 from Wednesday).
Warren County has administered 9,351 doses (up 444 from Wednesday), with 3,829 people fully vaccinated (up 112 from Wednesday).
Frederick County has administered 25,771 (up 683 from Wednesday), with 10,780 people fully vaccinated, (up 243 from Wednesday).
Winchester has administered 8,959 doses (up 294 from Wednesday), with 3,635 people fully vaccinated, (up 126 from Wednesday).
Clarke has administered 5,146 doses (up 171 from Wednesday), with 2,206 people fully vaccinated (up 71 from Wednesday).
Page County has administered 7,039 doses, (up 585 from Wednesday) with 3,048 (up 407 from Wednesday) people fully vaccinated.
Around the state 2,267,459 doses have been administered, up 921,716 from Wednesday, with 802,667 people fully vaccinated, up 86,007 from Wednesday.
Shenandoah County Public Schools reported Sunday no student or staff cases through its online dashboard.
Warren County Public Schools reported seven student cases and no staff cases at its last online dashboard update on Friday. Those are the same totals reported last Sunday.
Twenty-three students and two staff were listed as self-quarantined in Warren County Public Schools.
