Darrin William Murphy, 52, is facing several felony charges, including rape and forcible sodomy, according to a news release from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Office deputies received the sexual assault report from a woman around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, the release states. The woman said Murphy sexually assaulted her near his residence in the High Knob area of Warren County.
Murphy was arrested and is being held at Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail without bond, the news release states. He is due in Warren County General District Court on March 3.

The driver of an SUV that collided with a tractor-trailer on Thursday evening was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville for treatment, according to state police.
The crash on Interstate 81 southbound in the Tom’s Brook area was reported at 6:26 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Brent Coffey stated in an email Friday. The scene didn’t clear until 9:21 p.m.
No other information was available, Coffey said.
