Wakefield Country Day School seniors, from left, Rachel Cieplak, Lucy Clark and Kuan Ting Lee are participating in the internship program Pavilion 2020 as part of America’s entry to the World Expo in 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Their project highlighted American culture, leading technological revolutions and showcased the innovation, creativity and diversity that defines the United States. The theme is “What Moves You.” Other students spent a week at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, created a mural of the school’s mascot Leonidas, and worked with physicians in physical therapy and art therapy and with IT personnel on artificial intelligence and data collection.
