I read James Poplar III’s commentary titled “Medicare For All: My Own Experience” and I must say that I am mystified. His negative experience, as outlined, was the health care system provided to him and his family while he was on active military duty. This system, which certainly has its faults, has nothing to do with Medicare (to which 91% of physicians participate). In fact, in his conclusion, he describes Medicare as a “viable health care option.”

His wife’s outpatient experience with what he describes as “Medicare for all” was not that at all. It was an experience with the military health care system. Assuming that he now has Medicare health coverage, it seems to me that he should be capable of distinguishing between the two systems.

His disingenuous commentary is a typical Republican red herring, folks!
