Randall Hamman is running as an independent in District 5 against Republican Dennis Morris. Recently on social media Mr. Hamman described the Shenandoah County Republican Party as corrupt, in explaining his independent candidacy while claiming to be the true conservative in the race. Presumably Hamman meant the corruption charge against the Shenandoah County Republican Committee. In doing that, he slanders many good men and women who are working hard to elect Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, Jason Miyares, Todd Gilbert, as well as local Republicans.

The truth is, the SCRC didn’t make Dennis Morris the Republican nominee. Mr. Morris was nominated by Republican voters in a firehouse Republican primary by a margin of almost 2-1. If Mr. Hamman suggests that Mr. Morris’ nomination is corrupt, he is accusing Republican voters of corruption.

The main beneficiary of these specious corruption charges is Terry McAuliffe. When Republicans and conservatives falsely accuse each other of corruption, it helps Democrats. Mr. Hammond undoubtedly knows that accusing Republicans and conservatives of corruption will benefit his agenda and hurt the reputations of a lot of honest hard-working Republican and conservative politicians within the SCRC. This should tell you everything you need to know about Mr. Hamman.
