People may — and do — argue back-and-forth about President Trump’s “style.” But on the “substance” side, I’d like to mention an item that has not received the attention it merits.
Mr. Trump is the first U.S. president since Jimmy Carter who has not started an overseas shooting war by midway through his first term.
This is an incalculable blessing to the U.S., considering the amount of blood, treasure and prestige that we have squandered by continually inciting wars around the globe for reasons that are, at best, cloudy.
If that’s substance over style, I’ll take it seven days a week.
