A Woodstock man was arrested Sunday on charges of abduction, domestic assault and destruction of property.
Bobby Ray Neal, 35, of 239 Lakeview Drive, is accused of preventing one man from leaving the residence and assaulting a second man, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office with the county Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Law enforcement responded to the residence at 6 p.m. Sunday, Capt. Wesley Dellinger said on Thursday.
The first victim told deputies “he wanted to leave the residence and Neal told him he wasn’t leaving and to go back into the kitchen,” responding sheriff’s deputy Z.S. Wallace wrote in the complaint. “Neal was holding a hammer at that time,” the complaint states.
The second victim “had injuries consistent with being assaulted,” the complaint states.
“I observed damage throughout the house that victims and witnesses state was caused by Neal,” Wallace wrote.
Neal is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court at 2 p.m. Jan. 24.
