Investigators at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found Monday in the area of Digs Landing in the county’s Rivermont area.

“The manner of death is considered suspicious and the investigation is ongoing,” states a news release sent out Wednesday from the Sheriff’s Office.

The release describes the man’s clothing as a green baseball-style shirt with blue sleeves and a blue pocket, and black denim shorts.

The man has not been identified at this time pending findings from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.

Sgt. Daniel Maxfield said the call came in at about 3:30 p.m. Monday.

He declined to answer where the body was found, what condition the body was in or obvious signs of trauma, or if anyone had been reported missing lately.

“The Warren County Sheriff’s Office wants the citizens to know that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to public safety,” the release states.
