Massanutten Military Academy reached a deal this week with Widener University for a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a formal acceptance process for MMA cadets to attend the university.

Any cadet who graduates from MMA is guaranteed admission into Widener provided the student meets the agreement requirements.

"We are pleased to announce our partnership with Widener University and offer this wonderful opportunity to our cadets," MMA Head of School Kim Elshafie-Layman stated in a news release. "Widener University’s reputation for their focus on academics and professional and personal development of each individual student is aligned with our mission at MMA to develop well-rounded students through academics, character development, leadership, and service."

Widener University is located in Chester, Pennsylvania.

"We are delighted to partner with Massanutten Military Academy through this agreement," Widener University Executive Director of Admissions Courtney Kelly states in the release. "Widener is committed to core values of respect, integrity and excellence, and we empower our community of learners to discover and create better futures. I look forward to what we can accomplish together for the students.”

Widener University is MMA's ninth partnership for guaranteed admissions with colleges and universities across the U.S.
