A Shenandoah County man has escaped from Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail custody, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office posted a bulletin on its Facebook page that they received a call Wednesday from the RSW Regional Jail that Christopher Jay Doolan, 37, of Mount Jackson, did not return to the facility after a doctor’s appointment.
He is known to carry a firearm and caution is advised if he approaches, the bulletin states.
He is described as 5'11" and 215 pounds, with brown/bald hair and blue eyes.
Doolan was scheduled to have surgery and was released on furlough, the bulletin states.
Doolan has contacts in multiple regions within the state, but his residence is listed in Shenandoah County, the bulletin states.
Doolan was scheduled for a bond hearing at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Shenandoah County Circuit Court for violation of probation on a felony offense charges. Doolan is a convicted felon with multiple drug, burglary and larceny charges, the bulletin states.
