More than $30,000 in drugs were seized Friday by the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force during the arrest of two men from out of state.

Kodiey Michael A. Jones, 20, of East Point, Georgia, and Eric Isiah Moore, 22, of Columbia, Maryland, were charged on counts of heroin and crack cocaine possession with the intent to distribute. They were also charged on marijuana possession with the intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

Jones was also charged with possession of Ecstasy.

On Friday, task force members were surveilling the area of the Wingate Inn, 150 Wingate Drive, Winchester, according to a news release.

Task force officers observed Jones enter and exit the Wingate Inn and complete numerous hand-to-hand narcotics transactions with various individuals, the release states. The transactions happened in parking lots of various surrounding business.

The task force and Virginia State Police Tactical Team executed a search warrant obtained for a room in which they were using at the Wingate Inn. They were arrested outside of the hotel.

The search yielded approximately 102 grams of heroin with a street value of $12,240, 215 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $21,500, 339 grams of marijuana with a street value of $2,250 and $2,406 in cash. 

One Ecstasy pill was in Jones' possession, stated by email.

Both men are being held at Northwest Regional Adult Detention Center without bond. They are due in Winchester General District Court 8:45 a.m. Oct. 27.
