EDINBURG — Carrot Top, a 12-week-old domestic short hair, is up for adoption.
Katrina Keywood, an animal caretaker at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, said Carrot Top was brought into the shelter in mid-May along with his sister Sweet Potato.
“They were left at someone’s house,” Keywood said. “The gentleman who lived there didn’t want them.”
Keywood said that, while Sweet Potato was adopted, Carrot Top is still at the shelter.
“The lady who adopted [Sweet Potato] only wanted one cat,” she said. “We try to encourage people to take siblings together, but she only wanted Sweet Potato.”
Keywood said that Carrot Top is good around adults and kids.
“[Carrot Top’s] an awesome cat,” she said. “I think he would do really well with another younger cat in the house because he likes to play.”
Keywood said that Carrot Top also loves to snuggle but he also gets curious and likes to explore.
“He can get into a little mischief,” Keywood said.
Carrot Top doesn’t have any health issues but Keywood said that he would need to get his rabies vaccination and needs to be neutered.
The adoption fee for Carrot Top is $40.
