Fudd, a 3-year-old domestic short hair, is available for adoption at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter in Edinburg.

EDINBURG — Fudd, a 3-year-old domestic short hair, is up for adoption.

Katrina Keywood, an animal caretaker at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, said that Fudd came into the shelter in the middle of April.

“[Fudd] was brought in when he showed up at someone’s house,” Keywood said. “They wanted to keep him, but he wasn’t getting along with the other cat they had. He wanted to be the only kid on the playground and the people didn’t want that.”

Keywood said that Fudd loves being around people.

“Anywhere you go, he follows,” she said. “Fudd’s a really good lap cat, too.”

Keywood said that Fudd is also good around kids of all ages, but she cautioned that any potential owners do not have any other cats in the household. Keywood wasn’t sure about how Fudd would act around dogs.

“You couldn’t ask for a better cat,” she said. “[Fudd’s] really loving and you can carry him around. He’s just looking for a quiet place to take a nap.”

Keywood said that Fudd has been neutered and he is up-to-date on all of his shots. The adoption fee for Fudd is $15.
