Bullet, a 6-year-old Jack Russell terrier, is available for adoption at the Esther Boyd Animal Shelter in Winchester.

WINCHESTER – Bullet, a 6-year-old Jack Russell terrier, is up for adoption.

Lyndie Scott, an animal caretaker at the Esther Boyd Animal Shelter in Winchester, said that Bullet was originally adopted but was brought back to the shelter in early December.

“The people who adopted him had signed a lease before asking about having dogs,” she said. “They then brought him back.”

Scott said that Bullet is an excitable dog and will jump on people. She said that he does calm down after a while.

“He’s very energetic and very playful,” Scott said.

Scott said that Bullet is good about cats and gets along with smaller dogs. She does not recommend homes with small children for Bullet because of how excitable he gets.

Scott said that Bullet loves to play.

“He loves to play with his ball and his toys,” she said.

Scott said that Bullet has been neutered and he is up to date on his shots. She said he doesn’t have any other health issues.

The adoption fee for Bullet is $40.
