WINCHESTER -- Sweetness, a two-year-old domestic short hair, is currently up for adoption.
Kamryn Dixon, an animal caretaker for Esther Boyd Animal Shelter in Winchester, said that Sweetness was brought into the shelter last May as a stray.
Dixon said that Sweetness is good around people, but it may take a bit for her to warm up to other people.
“[Sweetness] is shy with new people at first,” she said. “It might take a couple of visits for her to fully get used to any potential owners.”
Dixon said that Sweetness is good with kids, but she recommends a household with older kids. Dixon also said that Sweetness is really good around dogs, but can be pretty unsure around other cats.
“She’s used to be the queen bee with other cats wherever she goes,” Dixon said.
Dixon recommends an older couple or a quiet, mellow household for Sweetness. She said that Sweetness doesn’t have any health issues and has been spayed. Sweetness currently doesn’t have her shots for rabies, so potential owners would need to get those.
The adoption fee for Sweetness is $30.
